Vocal Cord Nodules?!?!?!

Question

I'm 14 and want to continue my singing, to get into a career with it. Last year (2016) I started noticing weird things with my voice, like my higher notes I couldn't hit as much, and when I did sing my throat would hurt and now I think I hurt my voice. I'm so upset. Can someone PLEASE help?!?!?! Please, I'm so worried.

I haven't told my parents about this situation I think I might have, I'm scared to tell them because I already have enough medical problems. I am in Choir, should I talk to my choir teacher about it??? I'm so confused and worried, I just don't know what to do.

Keep in mind that your voice changes- sometimes into your 30s- just more slowly than guys voices.  I'd talk about it with your choir teacher, and consider private lessons if you're not taking them.  If you do have something wrong vs natural changes they can help identify it, and individual instruction can help make sure you're not abusing it. 
If it is nodules most of the time they're not a problem, and the surgery isn't horrible if they are (I have a friend who is in a masters opera program who had to have the surgery).

I have nodules and have for like 15 years. You can't actually feel them so that's probably not what you have!
