circumcision .. to do or not to do????

I would love to hear what you moms have done or have decided to do about circumsizing or not circumcising your baby boy???? This is my 3rd child and 2nd boy... my 1st son we circumcisized strictly cause that's what we were influenced to do without any actually research as to why it's done. Now that we are more educated we are concidering not doing it for this baby. No judgement please and yes we have researched both sides to the choices ... what would you do or are doing?? Thanks ☺️👍🏼

You need to make the choice yourself.
The internet is great to gain information but if you come looking for advice than you're going to be told by 1 side its barbaric, and by the other side that its necessary.
You should follow your heart and talk with you partner.

I've been a peds nurse for many years. I recommend having males circumcised. I've seen soooo many young children end up having urinary problems when not circumcised. The ones who have complications end up having to have surgery during childhood. And being a child, this surgery is not pleasant. Now I have had patients who are not circumcised and have no complications. But if it were my son, I would have him circumcised at a few days old when he will not remember it, rather than taking the chance of him having complications and having a surgery he will remember.

It's not cosmetic. My ex bf ended up needing to get circumcised at 18 years old because he couldn't have sex without terrible pain. Another ex bf of mine CLEARLY wasn't trained on how to keep it clean SORRY TMI but really there aren't many negatives to getting it done......

Don't do it, you have no right to take away this choice from him. If it is something that he really wants he can always have it done later

I circumcised all three of my boys. It's something my husband and I 100% agree on. We feel the benefits of it outweigh the very small chance of something going wrong. I have done a ton of research on it and decided it needed to be done. My husband hasn't done the research, but made the decision based on his life and people he has known. He was very adamant about it.

I am super glad I had my youngest circumcised,because he produces a lot of smegma. I have to constantly clean around his penis, and if I miss it at all, the smell is horrible. He would not have liked (me either) having to deal with that under his foreskin all the time. Of course I will be teaching him how to clean himself. I taught my first two how to as well. But every time I go to change his diaper, there's some under his penis. Ugh...

I'm currently pregnant with my second boy. With my first son I didn't circumcise cause it wasn't covered with my insurance, and no other reason. I would have otherwise. Now, I'm not wanting to circumcise this child, but my husband does. Right now we're debating. I see no medical reason to do it. I feel it's more for cosmetic reasons than anything after researching

I haven't had a child but I would be pretty upset if you did it for my brother and not me and if I wanted to actually have to remember and go through the pain of having it done.

Lots of people say there is no medical reason to do it. But there clearly is. Refer to this list of the benefits and risks and make the decision on your own
