Who else is dating someone in the service?

My boyfriend is in the navy and he's stationed at Virginia 
It's so hard to not miss him and not cry at times. I try to keep myself strong for him, also well distracted to not think about it too much.
It gets frustrating because no one understands. 
How do you girls keep yourself distracted?

My husband is in the army. We got married a month after basic. Both 18 at the time. It was super hard, we had lived together for about 3 years before and we're never apart for more than a couple weeks. So it was a big change. I lived with my mom while he did his school and didn't have a job at the time either so that made it even more difficult. But once he got his first duty station I finally got to move with him and now everything is great.

It gets easier, I promise!

You just gotta find something that makes you happy and keeps yourself occupied. I like playing piano and video games, so I learned new songs and played Xbox lol.

I work, ALOT! when my husband was going out in the field for two weeks at a time but constantly, I distracted myself with working two full time jobs, also went to school as well. Made tons of bank though all while staying busy. Hobbies help too. And I have accumulated animals haha we have a huge family of two dogs, two kittens, two bunnies, and a fish, all rescue animals except the fish. And now we have a baby on the way. There's lots to keep you "distracted" and it also gives you lots to talk about when you finally get those precious phone calls. I grew up Navy Brat and remember never knowing what to tell my dad when we talked on the phone cuz all I ever did was go to school and cheer. But with my husband, we have SO much to talk about because of all the STUFF I do while he's gone. I'd like to think I'm a workaholic lol but only when he's gone.

My fiancé is in the army. Every time he's gone I go out with friends and family and definitely keep track of how my days are going and what I'm doing
