clearblue opk error message

I read that if you get your peak you should not test again until your next cycle... if you test again before then you will receive three consecutive error messages.. so for the past week I have continued to get the peak smiley.. is the error message supposed to be a different symbol or is the false peak smileys considered the error symbol? Just not sure why I keep getting peak smiley
