period or nah??

So I THOUGHT my period came on yesterday because I all of a sudden started bleeding while I was at work. I don't have symptoms or cramps anymore after my 2nd child so having it come on unexpected is normal for me. However, it was really heavy bleeding on day 1 and that's not normal.  So I woke up this morning and put a tampon on as usual. When I took it out to change it there was NO blood on it😱😱. Also I jus had my period on the 17th of December!!!!Whats going on with my body,someone help please!!!
