flu shot ??

Question

Flu shot who got one and who hasn't and why? My step son has the flu and I'm considering getting it now that he lives with me.

I haven't gotten mine. My doctor hasn't even asked me about it. I read an article a while ago about the flu shot causing complications in a woman's pregnancy. It's probably silly, but it stuck with me for some reason.

I got it back in September. I get it every year since I work in health care. Just so you know though, if you get it now it won't protect you from your stepson with the flu. It takes 2 weeks after you get the shot for you to be fully protected, it's not immediate

I never got the flu shot until my first pregnancy over 5 years ago now.  I get it every year and so does my son.  I used to get sick ALL the time.  Not to say its completely related but, now I rarely get sick.  A lot of people disagree with me that it is any good.  I personally enjoy not being sick all year round and will continue to get the flu shot.  I think it just helped my immune system so I say its worth it.  Especially out here in WA where its turning into an epidemic.  We have had 18 flu related deaths so far since Nov just in my county.  I say better safe than sorry.

I'm so happy I got it . I have the flu now and barely have a fever just extreme fatigue and body aches and congesthon. If I hadn't gotten the shot it would have been really bad and could have put my baby in danger .

I haven't gotten one and don't plan on getting it. 
My children are older and have both gotten it. So far no one has gotten the flu here and I'm not planning travel for a while so we will be OK. 
I didn't get one as previous years I did and ended up with the flu anyway. So I felt like with my vitamins, personal care and restricting my massive public exposure I would be OK and so far I am.

I am required to get one every year since I work in a hospital. I have always avoided unnecessary things injected into my body. But since I have worked at a hospital for 4 years, I have never had a problem. I am 26 weeks and got the flu shot at 10 weeks. The earlier you get the flu shot, the better and more protected you are from getting the flu!

No I haven't yet but midwife recommended it when I'm 28 weeks so 2 more weeks x

I got it back in October, I've never had it before. Only got it to protect baby, otherwise I'll never get it again. No side effects and everything's been fine so far.
