anyone else over breastfeeding?

I feel like it's the most depressing thing to do. It hasn't been easy for me and I feel like my only quality time with baby is in pain or frustration. I wish I had formula fed and now I'm terrified to stop bc I've heard how painful it is.

Breastfeeding didn't work for us due to LO's bad latch and jaundice, so I'm exclusively pumping now. We're both very happy and daddy gets to partake in feedings too, so more bonding time for the two of them too! It's a good compromise for us, she still gets my breast milk and the frustration and stress of actual breastfeeding isn't there. If you really want to stop with breastfeeding entirely, there's no shame in it, do what's best for you!

How long have you been doing it?? LO is 1 month and I've been breastfeeding. It's freaking hard. I felt like I wasn't bonding with my baby and I resented the fact that I was her sole source of food. Over the past few days I've been feeding her on demand. It become a lot easier. She eats every 3-4 hours now instead of every 2. Also, the lactation consultant I saw told me not to let her feed more than 45 minutes, which had also been helpful. I still don't love breastfeeding, but it's become a lot more manageable, especially when I see her weight go up and her chunky legs and I know that's all because of me :) hang in there. It gets a little easier.

I feel you mama. I totally agree with previous reply. Its exhausting but my boy is on demand now 4hourly i stopped 2hourly feeds cuz the jaundice is almost gone.  Also i feel lucky i dont have to get up and make bottles. I know for some ladies they dont mind but id rather breast feed (if i am able to) than constantly have to make bottles. Always easier to just whip it out. Hope it gets better for you.
