birth control?

My mom just came to me and said that since I'm 17 she think it's best if I should go on birth control, which one do you guys recommend or like the best?

Well because your mom knows you're gonna be on BC you have a range of options, so that's good.
 I'm personally on the Depo shot and I love it. I don't need to worry about it like I would with the pill. However the Depo shot is known for side effects such as weight gain and long, irregular periods. I haven't had long periods, intact the shot took away my periods, which I like.
 You could take the pill, but you would need to take it everyday at the same time, which is why I switched (I kept forgetting).
 The patch would've been my second option because it's easier than the pill.
 I'm  it sure about the IUD or implant, those kinda freak me out.
 I would research the types of BC on this app and decide which one is best for you.

I've been on the depo for 4 months now. I've had two shots and my periods last 14+ days (they're usually 9 days.) and I'm getting off of it because I'm miserable.
