I just don't get it. They say it's because they don't want abortions happening but planned parenthood and places similar do so much more than that. Free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, free std screenings, free check ups, birth control, and other stuff like that and I think that's very important. If you're against abortion fight just that don't take away everything.

Who has the right to tell someone what they should do with THEIR body. If I get raped and impregnanted against my will, I should be able to decide what happens next and get the help I need if i don't have the means to do so.

I had a similar conversation yesterday with someone. She asked "where are all of these people that need the free reproductive health exams suppose to go now?!" And you know what, it was a great conversation.

We both live in a small town, where PP is over an hour away. She has friends that go to PP for their services..... meanwhile, there's a clinic that is just like PP in our small town. They offer everything PP does, except abortion, for free. In fact, I found a website that you choose your state and town, and it brings up lists of all the free clinics in your area. When I brought this up, I got numerous responses saying "well they ARENT PP. I'd rather go to a nationally recognized chain than a hole in the wall clinic". Except the clinic was in the hospital, was correlated to the hospital.

I'm not saying that defunding PP is good or bad. What I'm saying is I think it's a real problem that people don't know there are other options.

Defund doesn't mean ban. As long as they don't go farther than that, then I don't see an issue. they just don't want to pay for your birth control/ abortions/ whatever. When I was pregnant (and I was a teen) I didn't even use PP. When I got my birth control at 15 (for free), I didn't use PP. There's other options and now they'll just have to survive on the donations of others. I mean, they proved they could when people sent donations in Mike Pence's name. I am pro choice, but your reproductive rights are your responsibility
