unwanted surrogate offer

My hubby told me today his best friends wife(2mo ttc, now mother of two) offered to be our surrogate if we keep trying and it doesn't work... I am trying to take this as a kind gesture.. but I am really feeling like I'm being rushed and watched. We(the wives) have never had a legit conversation about our (me and hubs) infertility.. am I tripping? I mean all my tests come back normal... my womb is fine, not that anyone bothered to ask me... has anyone else dealt with "kind gestures" that really felt like "stabs in the heart"? Just wondering...maybe there's more angles I'm not seeing..
