Night terrors and possibly anxiety too.
I have a 6 year old daughter who suffers from night terrors. For the last couple of weeks she had been having some strange episodes and I think it might be anxiety. Lately, if she's in bed or sitting down she will get up and freeze for a second and starts freaking out kind of like when she gets night terrors. She will then tell me she feels weird and will panic, grabbing her head and just moving her hands weirdly and sometimes even pulls her hair. She will cry and starts breathing fast like she's out of breath. I try having a conversation with her about what she's feeling and how it feels or if she's in pain but she says no. I suffer from anxiety but it's not to often so I thought it might be that for her too. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Some input would be greatly appreciated. So many things are going through my mind and I'm trying to not freak out. She has an appointment set up next week but I need some peace of mind. Let me just add she has seen her pediatrician not to long ago for the same issue but never got a solid answer. She just said it might be stress from school. I'm thinking it's something more than that now since the episodes have become more often. Sorry for the long post. Tia
