Tampons ???

I'm 15 right now and have had my period for about 3 years and i think it's time for me to put on a tampon. I start mandatory swim class in school next week and just wondering if anyone had any tips for the first time you put on a tampon / how to put one on ??

I'm 17 and I started using tampons at 12 because I got my period at that age and I was very curious about it. What worked for me was reading the instructions carefully on the tampons box and do basically as they said. My box had a specific area for women who were using it for the first time and basically what it said was that you should rub the tampon on ur vagina until it starts to go in and from there the hardest part is done 😆 (It was very helpful for me because at that time I had no idea where a tampon should go and where my hole was 😅). Besides that, try tampons with an applicator because those, in my opinion, are the best ones.

When you buy them, read the little instructions book. Theres good tips there! Thosay be tmi, but also lubrication can help with insertion, as can taking ur time. I just use saliva.  It always necessary though. Also get plastic applicators or go bold with the no applicator kind. The cardboard applicators were invented by someone who hates women ;)

It sounds odd but put it in standing up with one foot slightly elevated. Insert at an angle don't try to shove it straight back. Always use the lightest absorbency you need. What is your flow usually like?

I didn't start using tampons until 5 years after I started my period because of fear.

Tip 1: Don't stress or your muscles will tighten causing it to be difficult or painful to insert.

Tip 2: Don't get discouraged. If you can't get it in right the first time, take a break and try again later.

Tip 3: If you put in a tampon after you've started your period you shouldn't need lube because the blood lines it up. Personally I don't start my period unless I'm using the toilet so whenever I discover that I just started I put one in.

Tip 4: Don't fear the vagina HAHA I was scared of tampons until I was sexually active because I didn't explore down there. Don't be afraid to look around before you try to insert a tampon.

Tip 5: Start with a smaller size applicator. I have a heavier flow but got x-small and worked my up to super plus. Vaginas came stretch to super plus first but my nerves freaked me out.

Add a lubricant to your vagina to make it easier and follow the instructions that come with the tampons also YouTube can be helpful
