Just coming off Birth Control

My husband and I are trying to conceive our second baby and December was my last month for birth control. I didn't take it perfectly because of some complications that occurred during the month but I'm completely off of it now. I have been experiencing some cramping in my uterus and swelling and if I bump up against something, even slightly, or my daughter bumps me it's kind of tender. Also, since coming off the pill I've been dry (sorry for TMI).  I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this or had an idea of what might be going on?
