5 month old sleeping on belly?

Question

Anyone have a 5 month old that sleeps on their belly? We are starting to have our little guy sleep in his crib but he always rolls to his stomach. He rolls very both ways and lifts his head great, but I'm still nervous!

My little girl sleep on her tummy since she was 3 weeks old (we co-sleep) and she could turn her head side to side. I kept an eye on her and still now she only sleep like that. I know I'll get people telling me how its not safe but it's the only way she will sleep!

My little guy slept on his tummy from 2 weeks until now. He is now 5 weeks and a week and his pediatrician said if hes able to turn his head just keep an eye and ear out for him. Hes doing great he can even crawl aa of this week

Thanks everyone! I spoke with the pediatrician and the doctors I work for yesterday, they said it is completely fine!

My son is 5 months today and has been a belly sleeper since about 2 months. He just prefers it. He never slept well on his back, even swaddled. It started as just naps during the day but now i do it at night or he just wont sleep.
I know the advice is not to and ill say now im very lucky that everything has been fine as im sure theres someone out there willing to tell me how terrible i am for doing it. 
But im pretty sure that if he can roll both ways its fine, they still say to place him on his back but if he goes on his own then unless youre gonna sit and stare at him all night then let him do it.

My little guy used to but now he prefers his back/side. But please please please be careful. My mother called me last night, her assistant at work, he brothers baby just began rolling over. She went to sleep on her back, when they woke in the morning to get her. She had rolled to her stomach. She died. She was 7 months old. It doesn't matter how old, or how well they can hold their heads. Anything can happen. My son sleeps right next to me, (not IN my bed) because it's recommended for the first year they be in the same room as you.... so I feel that if you're willing to keep an eye out, let her. But please be careful about it.

Mine does too, he's also 5 months, I have a 1.5 year old that did the same thing about this time. If they can roll and lift the head or move it side to side I wouldn't worry much! I do turn my son over if I wake up though.
