What items would you most recommend?!

Quick question for all my moms and even dads out there! I'm going to go shopping tonight for all of the essentials and extra tidbits we didn't receive at our baby shower and I just wanted to know, what were some things you ABSOLUTELY could not go without for your baby? (Swings, playmats, etc;)

What items made this wild journey called parenthood a little more bearable for you?

Lots of little baby washclothes, like at least 20-30 of them, because I ended up using them for bum wipes. My daughter was allergic to every wipe out there, she would get a really bad bum rash from them. Also nipple cream, a nursing pillow, lots of receiving blankets, I would also recommend at least 20, we went through like 5 a day, butt cream, daily stuff, and medicated stuff. A baby carrier was a life saver for me as well, my daughter wanted to be held 24/7.

My son absolutely loves his bouncer. Up until 2 months he also loved being swaddled. If you're breastfeeding: nipple cream &  I got some breast specific thera pearl ice packs from a friend that really helped with passion & soreness the first couple weeks.

I bought a bottle warmer (kiindle System which I recommend if breast feeding)
The lawn and cactus for letting milk storage pumping parts and etc to dry on. Tula blankets very soft and hold up better than the other brands.
