pee frequency

My 8 month old usually soaks a diaper overnight(12 hrs)--but for the past week or so he has been waking up dry. He'll pee a bit after waking up, although still not the huge amount he used to wake up with, and then he'll go a bit more a litttle later. It seems like maybe this is just him gaining bladder control, but I wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone else has noticed this or if anyone thinks it may indicate an issue.
