Do redhead get teased for having red hair?

As a child I was teased All the time. But it made me tougher. As an adult, Everyone loves my hair and I get compliments all the time. Honestly though, kids can be cruel and will find a reason to tease other kids if they want-- hair color, names, etc.

Would be better if more parents taught their kids NOT to tease others. Period.

I have red hair and love it. I've never been teased over it but one of my friends at school had red hair and she did get teased. I think it was because she was self conscious about it and teens can sense that. She was always trying to dye it (making it orange) and hide it whereas I was always confident about my hair. There was no point trying to tease me bcos I wouldn't have cared

It depends on where you live. It's a much bigger problem in some places, the US is fairly redhead friendly. Ginger boys can have a harder time than girls. I wasn't really picked on, but we get all kinds of nicknames and can feel really singled out.

I hope not, my daughter has got auburn/ginger hair. But everyone we meet says she has beautiful hair.
