Would you care if your SO didn't find your dyed hair attractive?

Would you care if your SO didn't find your newly dyed hair attractive? I told him I wanted his honest opinion but I didn't think he would find me attractive. I feel ugly now. I wanted something sexy and different. We have been dating for 6 years and I KNOW the color I chose is his least favorite color. I knew he didn't like the color but I thought he woupd like it on me. He keeps telling me as long as I love it then that's all that matters since my opinion is the only one that matters.
