Peace + military = marriage?

(Firstly please do not rudely reply on my beliefs. Even though we may differ, I respect yours completely)

Anyway. I'm almost 19. Sorta born in the wrong generation I guess. I'm very anti-war. I'm anti-violance... I just see every life as a gift. Not in a religious way per-say but just because life is beautiful. I can't stand by destroying and ending families and lives. And I have another 100 other reasons why (if politely requested) I would love to share and the life events resulting in my beliefs :) but I'll spare the boredom haha.

Anyway, well... my fiance is enlisting. Yeah that's painfull in many ways.

1) he is my life. Like my existence.

2) husband+war= terrified wife and family

3) I don't even support warfare

Its been a tough couple conversations with him. I've gone around the bush about 80 times with different emotions. When it comes down to it I'll support him, and love him and put on the smile I carry. I try to not think of it as war but more of doing his part/serving our nation but it's hard.

Just curious if anyone else is in the same boat or is married to a soldier and has any tips on surviving our first year of military life. Thanks :) I know this is a bizarre situation.
