How long should I wait to take a test? My period is late but I don't want to worry. It's 4 days late now.

I don't want to stress too much about it nor spend more money than I need to. I don't think I am bc I have been late before. Not usually this late though. I normally ALWAYS have cramps the week before if not the day before. The only signs I have had is tender nipples; not really the whole boob.

You can test now with first morning urine. If you have a Dollar Tree or a similar store near you, you can get pretty reliable HPTs for only a dollar! I've tested positive two different times really early with those dollar tests.

The best time to take a test is when your period is atleast 1-2 days late. If comes back negative just wait a day or two and test again to be sure

Idk if you have fairly irregular periods it's probably safe to wait at least a week so as not to waste money. Personally I'd wait for more symptoms too
