Should I buy a changing pad?

Question

One of the things I didn't get on my registry was a changing pad. I hear many people say they never even use theirs though. Do you use yours? I will be cloth diapering if that makes a difference.

The changing pads for your diaper bags are great!!! You don't want to just lay your baby just anywhere you don't know how gross it could be. But the ones for at home are kind of unnecessary. If more of get if you want.

I have a change table and ALWAYS use it. Always. 
Baby is now 10m old and I still use it.

As someone who has worked at many returaunts, no one really cleans those changing tables in the bathroom.  They're gross, even if they don't directly look like it.

Only if you already have somewhere to put it. If you don't have a dresser or changing table or wherever to put it, then it's pointless, and I wouldn't buy one of those just to have a place for a changing pad. The bed/couch/floor works just the same. We used ours for nearly every change, be it clothes or diapers, but only because ours was a hand-me-down from a friend and we already had a space to put it. I don't think I would've bought one had it not been given to us.

I use mine every time since animpromptu diaper   change on my bed ruined my duvet!!  Diaper changes can be messy!!!  We put ours on top of her dresser. It's nice to have everything in one place as well. I don't want to keep stuff all over the house to change diapers.

Not necessary but my LO loves his. It instantly makes him smile and laugh no matter how upset he is before I lay him on it.

I have a changing pad on top of my little's dresser. We use it daily. Without it, I'd be changing her clothes, drying her off after a bath, changing her diaper, etc on my bed or the floor. I'd recommend one. 
We also have a small fold up one that came with the diaper bag that I use when I change her in public.

I use mine all of the time. You don't wanna be caught in a pee fountain and ruin your couch or have liquid poops that get on your bed. I would rather have that on a changing pad

I only use mine with he has a poop diaper now. When he was first born I constantly used it now it's mostly pointless.
