Life hacks--TTC

So my fiancé and I want more kids. He has two girl from previous relationships and I have one son from a previous relationship. When we started dating, I made it clear to him that I wanted more children and he expressed to me that he wanted the same but has had a difficult time in the past conceiving due to his low sperm count, which was verified by a doctor. There is a long age gap between his daughters and I've only been pregnant once and have used birth control in between that time(I'm no longer on BC) so I could be the problem just as well as him. Has anyone used any "shortcuts", old remedies while TTC other than fertility treatments that have actually worked?
