thrush.... please need urgent help

my baby is 21 days old today and after few days of pain and visits to doctors we are told he has thrush... his tounge, gums and pallette are all white,,, we have been given daktarin gel to apply 4 times a day and it has been 7 doses so far but the thrush doesnt seem to have reduced... my baby has stopped feeding,,, do you have any thrush experiences what shall i do to ease up the pain
