Am I wrong?

Question

The day after New Year's eve my best friend made a relationship status on Facebook. This guy looked like a total skeeze. So I did my usual digging and found out he was charged with a sex crime. I told her and she completely freaked out and refused to talk to me, blocked me on Facebook, and accused me of not wanting her happy. 
*she did not ask me to dig, but given a few days she would have. 
* she's nine years older than me and her first reaction every time she's mad at me she deletes me off Facebook. 
*i finally just told her that I wasn't going to chase and beg for her friendship 
*this is also not the first time she's quit talking to me, we didn't talk for six months because her ex husband accused me of trying to seduce him. Instead of coming to me she just cut all contact.

Am I in the wrong? I don't feel like I should apologize at all.

I don't think you're in the wrong. I think you were being a good friend.

Just leave her be for now. She'll either realise herself that he's a scum bag, or she won't.

She's an adult, she needs to make her own mistakes. It's not your responsibilty to protect her, especially when she's pushed you away.

I had a friend like that . In fact she is the God mother to 2 of my kids and in Oct she called to say she was coming bring my kids their b-day gifts since their bdays are 5 days apart. As of Dec I never heard from her and she took me off of Facebook I'm so confused she even changed her number. Some ppl just got their heads in their asses

Wow it seems she's got major TRUST ISSUES. It also seems you are the only one fully committed to this friendship. I say you should move along. If she really was a good friend she would know how to react better especially because you are only trying to help her

I think you did the right thing. It's a shame that some people are "blinded by love" and refuse to take the advice of those they love when someone is not a fan of the person they are dating. 
My best friend is the same exact way. Her boyfriend is nothing but bad for her and she doesn't listen to any of us (me or her family and other friends) sometimes you just have to let the people you love fall on their face before they realize you were right all along.

I think you need a new circle of friends or just the friend. She sounds immature. You did what a real friend does and if she don't want to hear it, less alone like it, then whatevs. Let her figure it out on her own. Personally I wouldn't waste my time around individuals like that. She obviously doesn't appreciate your friendship

I don't think you were wrong at all. I do think you should take a look at your friendship and determine if it's worth it to be friends with someone who throws you away at the drop of a hat.

I'm sure you had her best interest at heart but maybe you two should've done it together do it doesn't seem like you're purposely trying to sabotage this relationship. Also a sex offender isn't always necessarily somthing horrible. My uncle was 18 when his GF was 16 and her parents pressed charges. Well they're now married but regardless since her parents pressed charges he's had to register as a sex offender. Another example is peeing in public.  My sisters brother in law is a registered sex offender for peeing in a bush at 2am in the morning.
