Periods and TTC after Implant Removal
In the summer of '15 I had the Nexplanon birth control implanted into my arm. It worked great- aside from some long periods in the beginning. After about 3 months my periods began to regulate again. This past December (December 12th) I had it removed. December 12th was also the day I started my period for that month. I asked the doctor how long it would take before I would regulate and be ready to conceive, and she said that because my cycle had already started I would be good to go after my period finished. My period finished on December 19th, and me and the husband got after it. According to the calendar, my period should have started January 9th. Now it's the 16th, and still no AF- exciting right??? Well I THOUGHT it would be exciting. But after 6 pregnancy tests that are all negative (or vvvfl that are so faint they actually are probably neg), I am starting to wonder if the Nexplanan has actually messed with my cycle. I want to be pregnant- but at this point I just want a period at the very least! How can I move forward with trying to conceive if I don't get my period? Has anyone else had issues after getting off birth control of any type (though, I'd prefer hearing about implants)??!!!? I'm just looking for comfort in knowing I'm not alone. I plan to go to the doctor if AF doesn't come by the 23rd of Jan. I feel lost without her in weird sort of way ...
