birth story's?

So I'm a ftm and I am completely terrified at the thought of giving birth! Im excited for my baby and it's a girl❤️ I just can't wait to have her in my arms but like I said I'm terrified! I keep hearing these awful story's and how awful it is and pain is excruciating!😱 I'm 32 weeks so time is getting closer! I just wanted to no any stm's or more have any of there story's to share and any advice ? Tia! X

I had a great labor with my daughter. Labored at home from 12 am until 2:30 am, drove to the hospital. Got admitted, got my epidural around 4, baby was born at 5:22 after 10 minutes of pushing.

It's really not that bad, I know fair enough everyone is different and has different experiences through out birth, but if you have no complications with baby or anything the birth is fine, we'll that's coming from me who had an epidural, although I could still feel my contractions. It can be a long and tiring process and take every ounce of energy out of you, but I don't think it's really that bad. I'm due my 2nd baby now in March aswell and I tend on not having an epidural to experience the birth with no pain relief, but as soon as they set your baby on you every bit if pain leaves you, it's the most amazing experience, try not to think about it too much. I had a wonderful experience with my 1yr old. My water broke over night at home but I never had any contractions so 17hrs later they started pitocin. I labored for 2.5hrs and pushed for 20mins. No pain meds, so yes it was very painful but it ended. I never even noticed them delivering the placenta or sewing up my second degree tear because I was so focused on my daughter. My nurses and doctors were amazing!! It obviously wasn't to bad because I'm due with my second in March, totally planned, my kids will be 16 months apart. The unknown is very scary but just remember the pain will end!

I had an unmedicated birth with my first, and intend to do it again. It was tough, that's why it's called labor. But if it was THAT bad there's no way I'd willingly do it again. Contractions are intense pressure, but when each one ends you get a reprieve. And when the baby is born and your oxytocin ramps up the feeling is amazing! I was up walking around immediately. During every contraction I would think "this is bringing me closer to meeting my baby" and welcomed them vs dreaded them. I know it's cliche to call it pain with a purpose but it's so true! When I start to get discouraged with the negative stories I google positive birth stories.

The birth of my son was not "perfect" (I had to be induced 37+2, I had to puke, I couldn't get an epidural, because it was too late by the time we decided to do one 😅). But here I am again, sone years later and want to do all of it again 😂 No one can tell you that you won't have any pain or something like that. But most of the time, the thoughts about the pain will be gone as soon as you have your baby in your arms. It is an awesome experience and you will be so happy ❤

I love reading everybody's story's and hearing positive things about labour!  Unforchantly for me I have a phobia of vomiting aswell! Called (emeptiphobia)! Sounds weird Ino ! But hopefully I don't puke! I really do hope and pray I surprise myself when I get in there and donlabour like a pro!! 💪🏻💪🏻 thanks for your replys ladies! ❤
