Epidural Question. ?

Ladies I was wondering if you guys can feel  the needle when givin the epidural? Like does it hurt really bad or do you not feel any pain due to the contractions your having at the moment ?

I didn't feel the needle. The contraction pain was stronger

I didn't feel the needle hardly at all! Honestly the IV hurt far worse lol. I got the epidural shakes which I didn't know was a thing though 😕

They numb u before the big needle.  U didn't feel the numbing needs and didn't feel the epidural needle at all.  I was in the middle of a contraction and had to hold still.  My contraction was a level 8 on a pain scale soo didn't get the chance to focus on epidural much. 5 minutes after, I was in heaven..

They numb you first so all you really feel is the tingling of the numbing needle and then the warm sensation of the epidural!

I could feel the pain through my teeth it was a different kind of almost metallic? Nerve pain. Better than contractions. Ended in emergency c section

I was considering going all natural but I can't even hand period cramps 😂 idk why I think I can handle contractions but I just wanted my body to do what it's supposed to . Idk I'll see how far I can take the pain if not then epidural time . I always thought that you'll be able to feel the needle and seeing the size of it just scares me plus I don't think I'll stay still.

I didn't but the lady I swear didn't know what she was doing . I was pissed off .

They numb your back before that's the only part that hurts and it doesn't hurt that bad the rest is just allot of pressure and this is coming from someone who HATES needles people make it seem way worse than it actually is good luck 😊
