ultrasound, no heartbeat
I had some light spotting today only when wiping. I was supposed to be 7 weeks. They ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound measured me at 6 weeks, 1 day. There was a gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole but no cardiac activity (heartbeat). My dr gave me the choice of having a d&c or waiting a week and having another ultrasound and see if there is activity. He said he was willing to be patient and see but it was up to me. I told him I didn't want to do something and wonder always so I'll have another ultrasound in a week. I haven't spotted since the ultrasound 4 hours ago. I'm hoping and praying the heartbeat is there next week. It's been a very emotional afternoon.
