My Birth Story

I was scedualed to be induced Monday morning at 7:30 am. Hubby and I show up at about 7. The hooked me up to the iv, at 7:30. I got a cytotec in my cervix at about 8:30. At this point I was at a 0 cm dialted. Then they checked again around 1 pm. I was at a 1 cm dialted. So they put in another cytotec. They checked again at 5 pm and i was at a 3 cm dialted. So they started me on pitocin and put in another cytotec and broke my water. They checked again at 9ish. And I was at a 4 cm dialted. I deccided to get the epidural then. Then they checked me at about 12 am and I was at a 5 cm dialted, and 100 effaced. Then the checked me at about 3ish and i was 10 cm dialted and his head was coming out. Currently, I did not feel the need to push, so they had me wait, they also had me wait so my mom had some time to get to the hospital. My mom finally got there at about 4:30. They came in and had me do a practice push, but I couldn't cause the epidural was way to strong, so they turned off the epidural and waited. At about 5:20 ish they came in and started having me push. I pushed for 16 minuits and my baby boy was born at 5:48 am. He weighed 6lbs and he was 19 inches long. Love my little family.
