why won't my tampon go in all the way??

This may be a really stupid question but bare with me. 
I'm on my period and when I insert the tampon it doesn't go in as much as usual. I tried to push it it further and it's feels like the tampon is pushing against something hard. And it's not going in all the way and is uncomfortable. Is it just bc my cervix is really low and hard bc I'm on my period?
Anyone have this happen before ?

Yeah it's probably because your cervix is super low right now. Before I got pregnant there was usually one day in my cycle my cervix was too low for a tampon

I am only 14 but since I started my peroid I have only used pads but I tryed to use a tampon the other night and today but it hurt and the tampon didnt go all the way in and it was very uncomfortable. why is this happening??

I’m having the same issue, only it’s been reoccurring. It’s happened at least my last 2-3 periods. It’s lasts about 2-3 days. I just started mine yesterday, today I’ve went through half a box of tampons already. I felt up on there, it feels like a big hard ball that’s kind of squishy in the middle. Which I’m assuming is my cervix? I’ve used tampons since I was 15-16 and I’m 24 now. Why is it so difficult to use them all of a sudden?

I can't wear tampons ever because I can either feel them hitting something or they cause me to cramp up really bad. Has this happened before? Has it been happening your whole cycle? You might want to self exam to make sure it is your cervix and not something else in the way.

Are you sure you didn't forget to take out the last tampon? I'm a bit feather brained and so live in constant treat of this.

This has happened to me numerous times. When my cervix is like that it hurts a lot more when I try a tampon so something's I just wear a pad.
