lump on sons neck?

My son has this large lump on the left side of his neck. When he turns his head you can see the bulge. I only noticed it this week and we are going to the peditrician today. Has anyone else seen something similar on their baby's neck and have them be fine. I'm worried.

You should definitely have him checked by the pediatrician because it can be any number of conditions including congenital goiter. If that were the case, he could have a thyroid issue. So get a check right away just for your own peace of mind. It's probably nothing, but better to check.

More often than not its just be a swollen lymph node. They can swell pretty big. My brother had them off and on throughout his childhood. When they happened it was always when he had either been sick or was getting sick.
