Doctor recommended I work until due date but not sure if I feel comfortable what to do?

So I'm 36 weeks and 1 day and will be on short term disability when I go on leave. My job wanted my doctor fill out a form and have a note when I can leave and come back. My doctor said she can't fill out the paper since it's not known if I'll have a vaginal birth or C-section and just to work until my due date which is Feb 18. My doctor said since I'll be a first time mom my baby will be born two weeks after my due date. I'm feeling OK I'm not in any pain but I heard the baby being born two weeks after the due date is not always true so I'm not too comfortable still working and need advice how to talk to my job about leaving within the next week.
