For those using "but women in Afghanistan have it worse" card- READ and comprehend
If you chose not to march- that is your right it is fine, you don't owe an explanation to anyone but for the love all that's holy stopattacki those who marched, stop trying to be the "good girl" of patriarchy. It's plain awkward and embarrassing.

I feel some people are confused on reasoning behind a lot of happenings lately. In my eyes both sides should be happy and proud because they took part in the political process of this country. Some did it by exercising their rights of freedom of speech and assembly by marching and some did by exercising their right of... freedom of speech and assembly by not going and not being made or obligated to go and still being able to voice or choose not to voice their opinions. I think we have witnessed a magnificent example of CHOICE that we have as citizens and hopefully will continue to have.
It is too late to march when the rights are taken away, because sometimes the rights to march canbe taken away right along with others. Doesn't it make much more sense to take preventative measures? If you don't feel concerned- that's cool, God for you. But some people are concerned. And they conducted a peaceful march. It is part of the political process here in the US. It's valid and important regardless of sides.
