Can I Miss A Midterm? Help a college student out pls🙏

Question

I bought tickets for my boyfriend and I to see a basketball game Thursday February 2, and my midterm is on Friday February 3. I have proof that I bought these tickets back in November, waaayyyy before this term had started.

Anyone think I could ask my professor to take the midterm early and he'd let me?

Note:  I was supposed to leave Thursday for the game and I would be staying over at my boyfriends place; I was going to Uber there Thursday, and get a ride back Sunday...but now it seems I would be missing my Friday midterm.

Your professor will NOT let you take the exam early.  It is one of the ways they prevent cheating.  I cannot imagine any college professor letting you miss an exam because of something fun.  Most of them won't even let you retake it unless your on your deathbed and you have documentation from a hospital.  Later in life you'll regret blowing off your exam wayyyyy more than missing what ever you bought tickets for.   Just to reiterate most of your grades in college come from your midterm and final.  Missing one pretty much sets you up to failing the class.  Don't be dumb.

Go to class. Take your midterm. Either you or your parents are paying a lot of money for that class. But you're not paying money to skip a midterm and possibly fail. That sucks you bought tickets right in the middle of midterms. But next time you should probably look at the syllabus and schedule around major tests or projects. Good luck on your midterm.

I would not miss your midterm. Some professors are not forgiving whatsoever, especially for a basketball game. One of my professors barely let me go to a funeral during class.

College professors will give you a fat F for it. Mine are all super nice but it's a optional part of life, you are opting in, so there's no cutting.

You can always ask if you can take it at a later date. You never know she might say ok. Just ask. You have nothing to lose.
