How To Stop Nursing?!

6 Months of exclusive nursing and I'm ready to close up shop...any tips on how to stop breastfeed gradually? I've started my adding one bottle of formula a day...but I've been very full and uncomfortable and not sure how to halos down my supply? TIA

You are gonna be engorged for a few days after you stop a feeding. That is because your body will make milk. But after a couple of days, it will regulate itself.

I would drop one feeding a week. But that could take a while. If you stop cold turkey, just plan on hand expressing or pumping just enough to ease the pain.

How long have you been doing one bottle a day? I did one a day for a week, then two a day for a week. I am combo feeding so I've stopped there, but I slowly started getting more comfortable by the end of each week. Hang in there mama!
