Extended nursing??

Question

I'm a FTM and I plan to breastfeed without any formula supplementing for as long as possible. We had a lot of issues but my son will be 11 weeks tomorrow and we are still going strong . I was under the impression that most babies are finished nursing except for maybe like a nighttime feed at one year. Mamas, what are your experiences with this? I don't want to wean too early.

My daughter turns 1 year in 2 weeks and we are not weaning any time soon. Plan to go to 2 years.

WHO - World Health Organization says 2 years is minimum. US is different and finally accepting breastfeeding in general. I am on my 3rd and not yet made it that far. I had mine close together and was pregnant with my next. Do whatever you are comfortable with.

My little girl is 16 months and she still nurses 2-3 times a day. But it really depends on the child, some "die hard toddlers" i know still nurse 12 times a day at that age haha. But you will find a way that works best for you i'm sure!

My baby is about 21 months and we are still going. I think the new recommendations are for 2 years. She has a baby brother on the way so we will see how it goes.

16 mos and still going. Hasn't decreased much at all. Weaning will be a struggle!

I wanted to nurse my first till 2 but had to stop at 7 months due to being pregnant again and having hyperemesis. This time around i plan to nurse till 2 but i refuse hormonal bcs and and iuds etc so if the cervical cap works lol then well be nursing till 2.

I'm going back to work after a year and I'd like to nurse baby whenever she wants still. I'm guessing I'll be pumping for the daytime and will nurse in the evenings and at nighttime.

My daughter is 7 months and we are still going strong. We have days where she nurses like a newborn. On our normal days she nurses about every 3 hours even through the night. I plan to keep going after a year and will let her wean when she's ready

My friend has 5 kids, they have all breastfed until they weaned themselves just shy of 2 years old.
