I have a question

I have washed all the baby clothes and other baby cloths items. I was just wondering if I should wash the rest that I just recently got from my baby shower I don't know if it will change anything but I just wanted to know if y'all washed your babies clothes or just left it how it is after you bought them did it do anything, does it really matter? I've just been thinking about it an yes I used baby detergent instead of regular.
