Sick and 11weeks!

Hello, I am 11 weeks +1! I have my first ultra sound soon and  I'm coming down with a virus! I went to the doctor and all he gave me was Tylenol. My ears are aching really bad and my throats is so raw! All night I've been swallowing mucus and blowing my nose, also yesturday I had a slight fever. I'm completely miserable! I can't fall asleep cause I'm in so much pain with my ears. Am I allowed to take Benadryl or anything that could help this? What do you other mommies suggest? This is my first pregnancy so I'm a little nervous!
