im thinking about getting the IUD impant soon, does anyone have any thoughts or advice on it?

I also have the Paragard and I love it, I like not having to take a pill every day anymore and I like that it has no hormones and that it's good for 10 years. My periods are a little heavier but even that's supposed to calm down a bit after the first 6 months. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't already have a heavy flow. If you already have heavy painful periods, look into the hormonal IUDs, those can make your period lighter and less painful.

I had the Paragard and believe it or not i still got pregnant. I now have the Minera i actually just got it two days ago i haven't had a chance to see the symptons and see how my period is ( if i even get my period ) but heard it was great all the doctors i talked to actually had the Minera and they love it. Will see..

But IUD are definetly the best way to go.

I would recommend the paraguard , it has no hormones and the one I have lasts for 10 years. The only downside is heavier periods but besides that its wonderful

I got mirena. I have friends who love it and had no issues. I had spotting for months after. My hair fell out to the point I had a bald spot. No sex drive. I was told by my doctor, who refused to remove it, that it was not the mirena. So I took it out myself. All my issues stopped. For me I decided I'd rather be on the pill and have a regular period than continue spotting. But for every woman like me with a bad experience, there's ten more with a great one!
