My parents won't attend my baby shower 😭

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and very happy about the pregnancy. It wasn't planned (I was on the pill at the time of conception), but my boyfriend and I both have good jobs and I'm in college and we're stable. I'm only 20 years old and he's 24. We haven't been together very long, but we are happy and we are very determined to make a good life for our baby. My parents are very religious and they were very upset that I got pregnant without being married. They didn't cut me out, but they don't like to talk about it and they prefer that I don't announce it. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed and I don't regret anything. I love my parents very much and I want them to be apart of my life and my child's life. My MIL is planning a baby shower for later on and she wanted to invite my parents, but they've already told me that they wouldn't attend any type of celebration of my pregnancy. I'm trying to be understanding of their opinions, but honestly I'm very hurt. I really want them to be there. My boyfriend said to just let it go and not worry about it, but that's a lot easier to do when they're not your parents. Any advice??
