Cold? Flu? Medication help.

Question

I have a really bad cold... I don't know if it's turning into a lower respiratory infection or if i may have they flu (i had my flu vaccine a few weeks ago however) but i am miserable. TMI but really green nasal mucus completely blocking my nose. Feeling like there is stuff in my chest. It's 4 am and i dont have a thermometer handy... don't feel too warm but if i had to guess i have a low grade fever below 101. I am a FTM and freaking out that i am so miserable... I just want baby to be okay. Can i take medicine? Do i go to a urgent care today (Sunday) or wait and see a doctor tomorrow? This is awful. :(

The flu shot can temporarily lower your immunity, making you more susceptible to other viruses and bacteria. My husband gets sick after the flu shot almost every time. He'd prefer to not get the shot, but being military he's forced to. Hope you get better soon!

I was told green usually means bacterial so you might need antibiotics.

How far gone are you? I've got exactly the same I went to my out of hours primary care centre yesterday and they said I have a chest infection gave me antibiotics and steroids, I am only 4 weeks pregnant today and I was also worried about if the baby was guna be okay because I couldn't stop coughing I had a misscarriage in October so think I'm just being extra cautious lol xx

It might be bronchitis. I would call the dr just in case you need antibiotics or they want to see you. Until than go in the bathroom with the door closed and turn on the shower as hot as it goes and breath the steam. If you have Vicks use it while doing this it works so much. It will loosen everything up so you can get it out. Oh don't actually go in the shower just sit in the bathroom. I hope you feel better
