Would you tell the mother/father of your partners child that you were pregnant?

Me and my partner are trying for a baby. He has a 4 year old with another woman, the issue is, if we were lucky and I got pregnant, I don't want to announce anything for a while (I seen my mother miscarry and it was so upsetting). Although, it's not as easy as that because he wants to tell the mother of his 4 year old child straight away. Opinions please? Would you tell your partners ex if it was your relationship?

I don't know why it's important for her to know. She's just the mother to his son. It's not like she will raise or support your baby lol. I dont need her approval as she didn't need anyone's when she was pregnant.

I don't see why she needs to know... my step daughters mom found out only because we told my step daughter..but I think I was around 15 weeks by then... but we didn't have to announce to her.. she'll find out soon enough! Why does he want to tell her???

If you're not telling friends and family then why would you tell her? She's nothing to do with the baby so she can find out once it is public! What reason is he giving for wanting to tell her??

I want to know why everyone thinks they need to let her know? When she finds out, she finds out!

When I was pregnant, we told my husband's son's mom right after we told my stepson. At 6 years old, he would have told her anyway haha. Besides, we have a really good relationship with her so it only made sense to tell her! But it's really up to you and what your situation is. :)

We are planning on telling my son and then announcing to family and close friends and then everyone else. We will make sure to tell my sons father before we post it for the world to know!

I would wait to tell her until a couple days before you tell everyone else. But make sure the 4 year old doesn't know or the mom will find out sooner.

Yes but I would wait till I was 12 weeks I've had 2 miscarriages and it was not easy telling people I was no longer pregnant
