How do you know that it's the right time to lose your viriginity?

I'm really curious about what people think is the right time to lose your virginity. I know that you should, ideally, wait until you're comfortable and ready to talk about sex with your partner or whatever, but how do you know that you're "ready?"

FYI I'm still a virgin and not really rushing to do anything right now, I'm also pretty inexperienced when it comes to relationships. 🙇

Coming from someone who has had two partners, one being not the right time and the other being perfect. My first time I was nervous, scared and I knew I didn't want that guy to have that piece of me I was giving away. I did it anyways and regret it so much. The second guy (which just so happens to be the man I'm married to!), I felt so in love I wanted to do anything and everything I could to show him. I wasn't nervous about how I looked or how he saw me because I knew he loved me the same way. It was open and comfortable! Some people don't connect love with sex but I personally do so that's how I felt (:

Honestly I always wondered about this question because I was so insecure about my body. But now that I'm with my boyfriend I forget about those things when we're together. I think when you're at the  point where he makes you forget all your insecurities and makes you realize that  he wants you for you then you'll be ready. I'm not going to say oh you'll know but it shouldn't feel wrong if that makes sense.

Every person views virginity and sex differently 😊 I was an extremely curious teenage and felt ready when I was 16 and in a relationship that lasted for 2 years while I was in high school. I think it's important to be mature enough to discuss contraception and be with a partner who respects your body and you're able to explore together 😊

Well my ex bf and I talked about it for months. We wanted to be sure it was the right thing. We were "in love" and very happy with each other. We both, even years later, didn't regret losing our virginity to each other. I still don't regret it because I was in a good relationship. I guess I do wish we had been a little older(I was 15, he was 17) but oh well. I know that with my future daughter(if I get pregnant with one) I will talk to her about it and give her advice. I hope she waits until at least 17 and that it's with her bf and not some random guy. Trust your gut instinct too. If you can look ahead, 2 weeks. 6 months etc. and still tell yourself you made the right choice then I say you could be ready.
