How To Get A Guy's Attention?

So there's this really cute guy that helps out in my self defence class/group at college (UK) but i find it really hard to be myself around him. Plus, it's all girls in the class so I feel like I just kinda blend in 😕 Does anyone have any advice on how to 1) Act like myself and 2) Maybe grab his attention?

Be confident or pretend to be 
Enhance parts of you you love for example if you love ur smile wear some like lipstick 
Ask for a number maybe and say it's just for some questions about a topic and then if he says sure wait 2 days and throw out how u need to get out more and make him want to take u out
Be kind 
Start a conversation about family or if he had a gf 
Ask random questions to get to know him 
Dress cute to show u care about urself
Make him see u could be loyal by telling him about ur past relationships and how u we're the loyal one 
Laughing is key
