baby hair

Is there anyone out there with a baby with thick curly hair? Preferably African American hair types or mixed babies .. I'm in the process of finding good natural products to put in my baby girls hair , I've been using cetaphil shampoo & coconut oil not seeing any progress.. she's 8 months with a bunch of hair it gets so dry , I was considering making my own mix , ( water , sweet almond oil & something else in put it in a spray bottle what else can I use?
