Stocking up on baby items
I'm not very far along in my pregnancy but so far I am as healthy as I can be and everything is going well. My husband and I have began to buy things for the baby so we can have as much as possible and then some for when the baby is born. We don't want to have to run out to the store all the time to pick up little odds and ends when the baby is here so we would rather already have it.
I don't plan on having a baby shower since my husband is in the military and we don't know many people here, so I would feel weird asking these people to come.
My mother tells me I need to slow down and not buy so much but honestly, I have the money and it's fun. I don't think I need to rely on anyone to get things for my child and wait until people buy us things. If they want to, that's great but I am perfectly fine with buying everything for the baby.
Have any of you done this? So far we have a good amount of clothes, a couple packs of diapers and a bouncer that was on sale so it was a steal and we couldn't pass it up. Is this too much?
I'm almost out of my first trimester so I'm staying positive that everything will stick and be okay.
