I get the whole rear facing thing, it just isn't for everyone. My kids always front faced a little after they turned 1. They liked to watch the DVD player like their older siblings. But the whole 27 months thing?! Just say your child is a little over 2 or just plain ole 2. Your child is 2. 🙄

For those NOT focusing on what the point of this topic was. My father in law is a deputy in my county, my uncle is the under sheriff and they both said until January of this year the rule was, as my Pediatrician told me, 1 year or 20lbs which ever came first. I chose to put my kids front facing when they were a little over 1 and it was LEGAL. It is now 2 or longer. My kids are over 2 and the one that is an infant will be rear facing until 2 being that it is the law. Thanks for the concern though ✊🏼
