Does it get easier?

Question

My baby isn't even 3 weeks and I cry every night. I can't do it. My husband is no help. All my baby does is scream even when I'm feeding her. She isn't sick or hurt, she just wants me to hold her.

Will this get better? I can't take it.

It does get easier... it takes time, of course. Even after it "gets better" there are some really bas days, maybe weeks but they pass. You and your LO are getting to know each other plus he's processing all this changes. Just hang in there mama, you're doing great, I'm sure.

About your husband... maybe you should talk to him? Express him how you feel and that you need help, after all it's both of you guys responsability not just yours.

Are you nursing? My son was attached to the nipple practically 24/7 for 6 weeks. It was hard but worth it! I couldn't set him down til recently lmao! He's 12 weeks. You learn what makes baby happy keep trying!!!

It gets better. I kept telling myself that she's only been out in the real world a few days. It's a big adjustment. They go from being in a warm, dark environment where they were never hungry to a bright, cold world where they have to wear clothes and hear different sounds. It's scary. It does get better. My LO is 8 weeks and almost sleeps through the night. I remember vividly those sleepless nights when all she wanted was to be held. You can do this. I'm a single parent and I finally gave in to sleep and slept holding her on the couch. We did that for almost 6 weeks...if your baby is 3 weeks, they've only been out 21 days. Keep it in perspective and stay positive :)

Have you tried wearing baby in a wrap? My little one loved being in the cloth wrap when she was that small. It freed up my hands and made it easier to carry her. Now she's big enough to be comfy in a more structured ergo baby carrier and I'm wearing her more around the house because she's heavier and my wrists are hurting. It's so nice to be that close and know that when baby wants to be held 90% of the time you can make them happy and still do other things.

My baby was the exact same she's now 5 weeks she has her good days/nights and she has her bad ones. Also your milk might of not come in yet mine sure took a while I didn't no I was starving her. I now have to supplement with formula. And some days I have to use gripe water for her gassy tummy.

I will or you will get used to it. I know it's hard. I have 5 children and my youngest is currently 9 months old. While he has a great sleep schedule, when ever he's awake he wants me and me only or he cries! He. Ever wants anyone else and he's always been this way, I didn't even breastfeed so it's not like I'm good to him. I feel bad bc it makes my husband frustrated and I get worn out from always having to have him in my arms or hear him cry/fuss. Time will pass and they will become independent. With time it will all be a memory.

Take a deep breath first but it will get better. It's ok to lay her down and walk away so you can calm down and relax she can sense when mama is not ok. It won't last forever I promise.
