My daughter is now 5 days old. She was born with a bad tongue tie, the hospital didn't think it would be a problem since she was doing fine lathing while we were there. Well my nipples started cracking and bleeding so feedings are veryyyy painful for me. The tongue tie only allowed her to have my nipple in her mouth and not being able to pull it back or further into her mouth, she will sit and naw on my nipples. Also found out that she likes to latch in between feedings for comfort. Which I'm okay with but it makes them hurt even more as they're not getting a break.

I've started pumping and bottle feeding because it doesn't hurt, just until they finish healing up. Anyone have the same issues? I would like to go back to strictly breast feeding once they're healed up.
