Hybrid diaper recommendations?

Question

Decided to go with a hybrid diaper for overall cost reduction, less impact on the environment, flexibility between disposable and cloth, and because I read many articles saying the hybrids performed better than cloth diapers or disposable (fit better, ease of use, less breakthrough, etc.)

I feel confident in this decision (though respect everyone is different and might not come to the same conclusion). But I'm having trouble deciding between hybrid brands.

Does anyone have any experience with hybrid diapers? Any recommendations? Based on a few articles, I've basically narrowed it down to either Flip or Grovia, but I'm open to being convinced otherwise.

What is a hybrid diaper? It sounds like a really neat concept. Are you in the US?

I used and loved Buttons Diapers and Best Bottom. My favorite part is that their inserts and covers are pretty interchangeable. Also, Buttons are quite a bit cheaper. I am re-using all my inserts come April for baby number two, but am having to replace most of my covers. After two years of use, most of the elastics have stretched out. Even so I'm still spending significantly less than buying disposables. Both brands can be found on Amazon, so free shipping!

I was gifted one grovia and ended up never using it. I didn't like the inserts.
